The road to Yalta was very busy, but at least there was a hard shoulder. About 10 km outside Yalta we saw cars standing on hard shoulder, with cardboard banners advertising accommodation in Yalta. That view was common for all major resorts. We stopped next to one of them and took out previously prepared sandwiches, when a man from the car offered us plastic chairs, so we could have a seat. That was a very kind of him.
When reaching Yalta it is worth turning right and cycling 1 km to visit Massandra Wine Factory. The tour - including the tasting - costs UAH 55 per person and lasts about 1.5 hour. Established by Prince Golitzin back in 1894, in Tsarist Russia, Massandra is the first and most famous Crimean winery. In the underground tunnels with a capacity of one million bottles, there is now a museum of ancient wines. Opened in 2003, the collection consists of 100 thousand bottles. The most precious specimens include 1775 Sherry de la Frontera, 1846 Muscat de Lunel and 1894 Livadia Red Port. As for the tasting, I know one thing: I will never forget Crimean Madera (Мадера Крымская)!
